Meet Matthieu! He is an intended father living in Nice, France where he works as a Acupuncturist and Hypnotist. Matthieu is a very positive and zen individual. He is currently on a parallel journey with our agency. This means he has a surrogate who is carrying for him, but he is looking to give his child a sibling by beginning a second journey as the process of surrogacy can be lengthy.

Sharing a real friendship with his surrogate is an important value of his. Matthieu has formed a strong and positive bond with his current surrogate and we know he will do the same with this next match.

Quick overview on a few things you need to know about becoming a surrogate in Canada: 

  • You must be a female of 21-49 years of age

  • Have delivered one or more child(ren) of your own

  • Have experienced healthy pregnancies and births

  • Lead a healthy lifestyle and be physically/mentally healthy in general

Surrogates in Canada are: 

  • Reimbursed all of their expenses. (average $20,000-30,000)

  • Can apply for 15 weeks of maternity leave (if eligible)

  • Have independent legal representation and a legal contract

  • Will travel to the Intended Parents clinic - all costs covered
