Max and Rick

Meet Max and Rick. They live in Hague, The Netherlands where Max works as a Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Health, and Rick is a Political Scientist. They met in high school when fate put them in the same class. They became very close friends (not having realized yet that they were gay) and shortly after discovered they had feelings for each other and fell in love. They've been together ever since and got married in 2021! They've always wanted a family of their own.

"We both had great and loving childhoods and would very much like to pass these experiences on to children of our own. Unfortunately, Max’s mother died far too young, but during her illness, she shared many of her experiences being a mother with us which has left marks on us. For example, she kept a diary after Max’s birth with daily observations about his development and about being a mom. This precious document has further reinforced our wish to become parents one day. "
